What to do if the mill stops working properly?
The mill may be empty. Fill The barrel with salt or pepper.
The herb or spice used is not suitable for the grinder. Empty the grinder and fill it with the herb or spice intended for grinding.
Guérande sea salt mill
Again, moist sea salt should not be soggy to grind it properly. If it is, let the salt air dry for 24 to 48 hours before filling the mill. Nothing more will come out of the mill: Moist salt tends to stick to the grinding mechanism. If this happens, loosen the knob and tap it gently to release the grinding mechanism. The mill is now ready for use again.
Electric mill
The lighting no longer works.
Check that the contacts of the barrel and motor block are clean and, if necessary, clean them with a dry cloth. Check that the bulb is present: the bulb is present but may not be fitted properly. Remove the bulb and reinstall it. No bulb is present or the bulb is broken. Replace the bulb with a new bulb supplied with your purchase.
The motor works, but the grinder does not grind:
Check that there is enough pepper or salt in the container.
The motor no longer works:
Replace the batteries. If the mill then still does not work, you must return it to us. Please contact us for this. We can only deal with complaints about mills purchased from us.
